Briefly describe your best win at Wheelersburg |
|
That
would have to be Minford, my senior year. I know that
Minford was not very good in those days, and they had not
won against the Burg in 10 years, but it was such a close
game coming down to the end, that is was a great feeling
getting to kick the field goal that won it. |

Briefly describe your toughest loss at Wheelersburg |
|
The
toughest loss for me was losing to Ironton at Spartan
Stadium in the 1st round of the playoffs my senior year. It
took me until we got on the bus heading home for it to hit
me that it was all over. Never again would I get to put on
the orange and black and play for a community that had shown
us so much support all through the years. |

Describe the most memorable event while playing at
Wheelersburg |
|
Of course kicking a
game winning field goal is probably the most memorable
moment, but I think what I remember more than anything is
coming out of the locker room for the Ironton game in 94.
When the special teams came out well before kickoff, there
wasn't a seat to be had. Just to see that crowd and knowing
that there were that many people in the community that were
there to support us, it still gives me chills. |
